All Presenters must register and send in their audio-visual requests prior to the conference

Dear Presenters:

We are delighted that you will be giving a workshop presentation at ACR’s Eighth Annual Conference, September 24 – 27, 2008 in Austin, Texas.

Also attached is the ACR speaker form, please complete and return to ACR. All workshop rooms have a standard microphone, podium, flipchart, and markers.  If you need special arrangements (such as an extra table, extra microphones for panelists or extra flip charts) please include this in your AV equipment request.  LCD projectors must be specifically requested.  ACR does not supply computers; you must provide your own computer if you wish to use power point in your presentation.

ACR contracts with an audio-visual company to provide overhead and LCD projectors only for those presenters who request them in advance.  The rental of this equipment is very expensive, and ACR orders in advance to keep costs down.  We may not be able to fill requests that are not listed on the speakers form.  If we are unable to accommodate your last-minute request for AV equipment, renting a projector from the convention center, at your own expense, will be your only option.

We need a signed speaker release form from the organizer of each session. Please check with other presenters in your session before signing this document.

Conference attendees will receive a CD-Rom containing presenter materials.  If you would like your session materials included, please submit them as soon as possible, but no later than August 7, 2008.

Specifications for materials are as follows:

·         Must be submitted no later than August 7, 2008.

·         In Microsoft Word or PowerPoint handout format.

·         Page limit of 18 single-sided pages for 90-minute workshops.

Please Note:

·         ACR cannot reproduce session handouts beyond those described above.

·         Presenters may distribute additional materials during their sessions.  The copying and distribution of these materials is the responsibility of the presenters.  There is a business center in the Hilton and copying businesses located close to the hotel.  ACR does not reimburse conference workshop presenters for copying or any other expenses.

·         To receive the necessary registration materials and a conference badge, all presenters must complete and send in a registration form.  A printable registration form is online at http://acrnet.org/conferences/ac08/Registration.htm Presenters who do not plan to attend any sessions or events other than the ones they are presenting still must register and should check the box on the registration form that says, “I plan to attend as a speaker only” (No fee). Registration forms for attending as speaker only, must be sent by fax or email, it cannot be done online.

·         Presenters are encouraged to register for the conference at the discounted presenter rate of $325.00 for ACR members and $425.00 for non-members.  If you are not an ACR member, we invite you to join ACR now and register for the conference at the discounted member rate!
